What to do if you suspect your company has been the victim of fraud or identity theft?

  • Do not click any suspicious link; hover over them to see real email address; only click on links you deem trustworthy
  • Visit U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (www.cisa.gov) for guidance on online deceiving tactics and information on phishing
  • Follow Federal Trade Commission's procedures for email verification (www.ftc.gov/business-guidance/small-businesses/cybersecurity/email-authentication)
  • File a complaint with the Federal Bureau of Investigations at the Internet Crime Complaint Center (www.ic3.gov/Home/ComplaintChoice)
  • File a complaint with the OIG (hotline@oig.dot.gov)
